• Management of the Support Services-Central Distribution Department within the hospital, including service delivery outputs i.e. Fleet Transport, Death Administration, Messenger and Pneumatic Tube distribution services. • Manage and oversee Contract Management i.e. After hour Transport, removal of bodies, pauper burial, and any other adhoc contract services. • Effective and efficient Human Resource Management e.g. Recruitment and Selection Process, Performance Management System, Leave Management, Disciplinary Procedures, Grievance Procedures, Project Management, Training and Development of staff. • To provide relieve duty in the absence of the EHS Managers and provide support to Supervisor. Conduct compliance checks with regard to External and Internal Audits, Internal Policies and Practices. |

• Sound verbal and written communication skills. • Good interpersonal and communication, report writing and computer skills. • Knowledge of the disciplinary code and Procedure as well as the Health and Safety Regulation. • Knowledge of Transport prescripts, Contract Management and Pauper Burial regulations. |

Appropriate experience in Fleet Transport, Death Administration, Messenger and Pneumatic Tube experience. Basic Supervisory experience. |

Senior Certificate/Grade 12 certificate (or equivalent). |

Valid (Code B/EB) driver’s licence. • Work shifts, night shift, weekends and on public holidays. • Relief work in other departments. • Ability to communicate in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape. |

Remuneration:
|
R 294 321-R 343 815 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
