A minimum of 7 years appropriate/recognizable experience in nursing after registration as Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing. |
|
|
Basic R425 qualification (i.e. diploma/degree in nursing) or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse and Midwife. |

|
Coordinate, supervise and rendering of optimal, holistic, and quality Nursing care within standards and the professional/legal framework. Manage and coordinate effective utilization of human, physical and financial resources. Coordinate Quality assurance functions and ensure compliance with Quality assurance guidelines. Maintain constructive working relationship within the multi-disciplinary team and ensure management support in policy implementation. Ensure effective information management in the unit. |

Knowledge and insight of relevant legislation and policy related to nursing with the public sector and basic computer literacy (MS Word, Excel and MS Outlook). Ability to communicate in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape and ability to promote quality patient care through the setting, implementation, and monitoring of standards. Effective communication, interpersonal, leadership, decision-making, conflict resolution skills and have the ability to function independently as well as part of the multi – disciplinary team. Good organizational skills and the ability to function under pressure. |

Remuneration:
|
Grade 1: R 497 193-R 559 686 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
