Requirements Minimum educational qualification:
Appropriate 3-year National Diploma/Degree.
 
Experience:
Appropriate experience in expenditure management. Appropriate experience in LOGIS and BAS system transaction processing. Appropriate experience in financial management and Supervision.
 
Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Management of the Finance Expenditure Component. Manage training, leave, staff performance of subordinates. Control, verify, authorise payments and journals on LOGIS and BAS. Responsible for the control, clearance, verification and reporting on Asset and Liability Accounts and Debt Management. Monthly and Annual Financial reporting to Management, Regional Office and Head Office. Audit compliance and sound Document control. Overall responsibility for Petty Cash Management.

Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Sound knowledge of financial management systems and regulations: BAS, LOGIS, Financial Delegations and Treasury Regulations, PFMA. Ability to be systematic and analytical and interpret and apply policies. Good communication, conflict management, interpersonal, leadership and supervisory skills needed as well as in depth knowledge of transaction codes and reports in respect of BAS and LOGIS. Good computer literacy and skills (i.e., MS Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
 
Inherent requirement of the job:
Valid (Code B/EB) driver’s licence. Willingness to work after-hours when required. Good verbal, as well as written communication skills in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape to ensure effective report-writing.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 359 517 per annum - R 420 402 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
