Appropriate knowledge and understanding of the Skills Development Act, the Skills Levy Act and of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) and related treasury regulations and the Public Service Induction Programme. Computer literacy (MS Word, advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook). Project management knowledge and capabilities. |

Appropriate 3-year National Diploma/Degree in the field of Human Resource Development. |

Appropriate experience in Human Resource Development. |

|
Lead, manage, supervise and co-ordinate the work and responsibilities of the People Development & Training component. Develop and implement policy frameworks and operational plans to guide implementation strategies for the skills development portfolio. Develop and implement a quality assurance system guided by appropriate benchmarks. Responsible for financial budget administration for the People Development and Training component. Ensure compliance with relevant skills development and related legislation and policies and implement projects and programmes delegated by the Head: People Management. Management and co-ordination of the Internship programmes, including the EPWP funding allocations, AET portfolios, as well as Bursary Administration. Research and develop need based training programmes, and facilitate the Public Service Induction Programmes. |

Valid Code B/EB driver’s license. Proficiency in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape. Willingness to travel. |

Remuneration:
|
R 424 104 - R 496 467 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
