A minimum of 7 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration as a Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing. |
|
|
Basic R425 qualification (i.e. diploma/degree in nursing) or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse. |
|
|
Good managerial, supervisory, report writing and decision-making skills. Computer literate (Word, Outlook, Excel and Power point). Good leadership and organizational skills and the ability to function under pressure. Ability to function independently as well as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Knowledge and insight of legislation and policies, relevant to current nursing practice within the Public Service. Disciplinary and conflict management skills. |

Registration with the SANC as Professional Nurse and proof of current registration (i.e annual licencing receipt of 2023). |

Supervise and co-ordinate the provision of effective and efficient client care through adequate excellent quality care. Provide management support, guidance and direction to personnel under her/his supervision towards the realisation of strategic goals and objectives of the nursing division. Manage and monitor proper utilisation of human, financial and physical resources in accordance with legislation and policies. Develop and maintain constructive working relationships with nursing personnel and other stakeholders (multi-disciplinary teamwork). Function as a health care professional according to the applicable norms and standards. Maintain professional growth and ethical standards and promote quality of nursing care. Co- ordinate and monitor the implementation of nursing care plan and evaluation thereof. |

Willingness to work shifts, overtime, after hours hospital cover, weekends, and Public Holidays as required. Proficiency (verbal and written) in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape. Valid Drivers Licence Code B/EB. |

Remuneration:
|
Grade 1: R 497 193-R 559 686 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
