Note:
Only officials within the Provincial Government: Western Cape will be considered for this post.
 
Experience:
Appropriate administrative experience in the health environment. Appropriate experience in Clinical and Health Information Systems (HIS) and Patient Information Systems e.g. Clinicom, LOGIS, and Staff information system e.g. NIMS.
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Good communication skills in at least two of three official languages of the Western Cape and a good sense of confidentiality. Computer literacy (MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook) Ability to work in a team, work under pressure and provide excellent customer care.
 
Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Manage patient admin processes according to DOH procedures for health information on Clinicom (Admissions, discharges, Transfer, Appointments, Death, ICD 10 coding). Manage all resources according to SCM procedures (Consumables and Assets). Provide support to multidisciplinary team and wards (typing, filing, faxing and photocopying, email, statistics). Submit daily, weekly and monthly statistics and reports and capture data. Perform administrative duties (arrange and attend meetings and take minutes.

Requirements
Senior Certificate (or equivalent).
 
Inherent requirement of the job:
Willingness to work overtime when required. Ability to work day and night shifts, weekends and public holidays when required.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 202 233-R 235 611 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
