Administration Clerk: Support (Medical Records)

Experience:
Appropriate experience in a medical records / scanning centre environment in a government hospital.
 
Duties
Ensure that folders returned are processed into batches and tracked on ECM tracking tool. Ensure that all processes have been followed for Prepping, Scanning, Indexing, quality assurance of files and Filing. Daily Drawing of patient folders Daily according to appointments for the following day. Timeously find / look for Patient folders not in Medical records for following day OPD visits, Draw folders on request for audit purpose. Ensure that electronic folder is created on ECM for each patient and ensure that content is electronically available under the correct folder adhering to the defined file plan on ECM. Perform quality checks of the scanned/indexed documentation to ensure that the standards are adhered to. Draw folders on request for audit purpose.
 
Inherent requirement of the job:
Good communication and interpersonal skills in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Knowledge of data capturing, preparation, scanning, indexing, quality assurance of files and filing. Knowledge of the Western Cape Archive Act. Computer literacy (MS Windows, Word, Excel). Knowledge of Enterprise Content Management (ECM). Willingness to work scheduled hours according to operational needs.

Requirements
Senior Certificate (or equivalent).
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 202 233 to R 235 611 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
