Note:
Only officials within the Provincial Government: Western Cape will be considered for this post. Shortlisted candidates will be subjected to a computer literacy test.
 
Experience:
Appropriate experience in a Hospital Fees/Case Management related environment.
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Knowledge of Clinicom, Billing and EDI (Electronic Data Interchange). Sound knowledge of applicable policies (Treasury and Financial/SCM Instructions, AO System, delegations and Procedures). Sound knowledge of applicable policies and prescripts re revenue generation, billing, reception and medical records. Computer literacy- (MS Word/MS Excel, Outlook & Internet). The ability to function independently as well as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Knowledge of patient administration and medical records.

Minimum educational qualification:
Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with Mathematics and/or Accounting as a passed subject and/or Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with experience/competencies that focuses on the Key Performance Areas (KPA’s) of the post.
 
Duties
Supervise the Hospital Fees, Patient Administration and Medical Records Division Authorising of journals on BAS, Clinicom and Accounts Receivable transactions. Do Deposit Day Ends and Confirmation of monies banked. Reporting to Region and Head Office on Hospital fees related transactions. Render Administrative support to the Case Manager.
 
Inherent requirement of the job:
Valid driver’s licence (Code B/EB). Willingness to rotate within the Hospital fees department when necessary. Willingness to work scheduled hours according to operational needs. Proficiency in at least two of the three languages of the Western Cape Province.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 294 321- R 343 815 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
