A valid (Code B/EB) driver’s licence. Good verbal and written communication skills in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape. |

An appropriate three-year National Diploma or Degree qualification. |

Appropriate proven experience in the procurement of goods/services, asset management, warehouse management, Bid Administration and SYSTEMS in a health environment. Appropriate supervisory experience in a Supply Chain Management environment. Appropriate LOGIS System Controller or sub–System Controller experience. |

Computer literacy and thorough knowledge of computer systems (Logis, Bas, EPS and MS Office). Extensive knowledge and practical experience in Logis and Electronic Procurement systems. Extensive knowledge of relevant financial prescripts, departmental policies, delegations, and procedures. Good organisational, managerial and leadership skills. Strong people management skills, ability to work in a team context and motivate team members. |

Responsible for the overall management of Supply Chain Management functions and ensure the effective and efficient application of procurement policies and processes, Demand, Acquisition, Contract, Logistics, Asset and Disposal Management. Perform duties of the institution’s LOGIS System Controller. Responsible for Asset Management. Coordinate and facilitate efficient and economic stock management by means of effective Warehouse control. Accurate and timeous reporting of information to Head Office and other stakeholders. Maintain effective Demand Management, Procurement Management and Bids knowledge to chair the Quotations Committee or vice chairperson. Assist with the compilation of the Annual and Interim Financial statements. Develop, implement and adhere to internal control measures to ensure compliance. Liaise with end users, service providers and other Governmental departments. Manage all People Management related functions within the component. |

Remuneration:
|
R 331 188 per annum - R 390 129 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
