Inherent requirement of the job:
Ability to communicate (written and verbal) in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.

Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Passed Persal Introduction course. Good computer (MS Word, Excel, Outlook) and numeracy skills. Knowledge of the Human Resource prescripts in the Public Service. Good interpersonal and organisational skills and the ability to function under pressure and meet deadlines.
 
Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Perform all administrative duties pertaining to personnel administration, e.g. appointments, resignations, transfers, pension administration, salary administration, leave housing, injury on duty, distribution of payslips, debt management and verify documents and qualifications. Responsible for capturing transactions on PERSAL. Assist staff, colleagues, supervisors, management and members of the public with regards to all Human Resources and Personnel matters. Audit personnel, pension and leave files, handle a variety of personnel enquiries (written and telephonic) and file personnel data, policies regulations and circulars. Maintain registers, (i.e. PILIR, RWOEE, JD’s, Appointment and Service Terminations). Effective support service to supervisor and colleagues.
 
Minimum educational qualification:
Senior Certificate (or equivalent).
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 181 599 - R 213 912 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
