Sterilization Operator: CSSD

Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape. Good interpersonal relations skills. Basic understanding of disinfection, decontamination, and sterilization
 
Experience:
Appropriate experience.
 
Minimum educational qualification:
Basic Numeracy and Literacy.
 
Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Effective application of sterilisation processes and techniques and promote/adhere to infection control as well as health and safety regulations. Assist with cleaning, maintenance and testing of sterilisation equipment, washing machine and autoclaves, lift-up and pushing heavy equipment in a cost-effective manner. Monitor, control and maintain adequate stock levels, report, and assist with investigation of lost instruments/equipment. Effective communication and Human Resource Development. Cost Containment with regards to human and material resources.

Inherent requirement of the job:
Willingness to work in any department within CPD (CSSD & Gas). Willingness to work shifts including weekends, public holidays and night duty.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 128 116- R 150 975 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
