Artisan Production Grade A to C (Carpentry)

Inherent requirement of the job:
A valid drivers licence (Code B/EB) and willing to travel throughout the Western Cape. Perform standby duties.
 
Requirement:
Appropriate Trade Test Certificate (Carpentry).
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Be conversant with the requirements of the Machinery and Occupational Health and Safety Act.
 
Experience:
Grade A: No experience required. Grade B: At least 18 years appropriate/recognisable experience in the area after obtaining the relevant Trade Test Certificate. Grade C: At least 34 years appropriate/recognisable experience in the area after obtaining the relevant Trade Test Certificate.

Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Perform necessary administrative functions. Control over tools and materials. Train subordinates and Interns. Produce objects with material and equipment according to job specifications and standards. Repair and service of equipment at facilities, plants and buildings according to standards. Assist Artisan Foremen with their duties.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
Grade A: R 190 653-R 211 596 per annum, Grade B: R 224 574-R 249 246 per annum, Grade C: R 262 176- R 324 708 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
