Experience:
Appropriate experience in operating PHCIS and Sinjani systems.
 
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Computer literacy (MS Windows, Word and Excel). Knowledge of Health Information Management procedures. Knowledge of the disposal and archiving policy and procedures. Knowledge to identify training needs for the clinicians in Health Information Management. Knowledge of report writing. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape. Ability to accept accountability and responsibility and to work independently.
 
Duties (key result areas/outputs):
Co-ordinate the determination of the hospital needs. Data Collection and Collation. Data entry and verification. Design and Customize generic data collection tools. Preparation of presentation (Management and Department Head). Provide computer and health information management training. Convene hospital information team meetings. Produce analysed reports to management and department heads. Effective support to supervisor and colleagues. Submission of data to District Office.

Requirement:
Senior certificate (or equivalent).
 
Inherent requirement of the job:
Willingness to work overtime on short notice to meet operational requirements.
 
 
 
 
Remuneration:
R 173 703- R 204 612 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
