Current registration with HPCSA as an AEA, ECT, CCA or ECP. Valid code C1 driver’s license. Professional driver’s permit. |

Effective pre-hospital Emergency Care Service and respond to incidents when required. Supervise the maintenance of Emergency Vehicles and Equipment, inclusive of report writing with regards to accidents reports and lost and theft control incidents. Ensure effective communication with regards to patients, colleagues, other services and members of the Public. Supervise and manage rostered shifts and personnel. Provide an effective administrative support to supervisor and manage the station when requested by the manager. |

Excellent knowledge of all levels of emergency care protocols. Good communication and interpersonal skills. |

Grade 3: Minimum of 3 years experience after registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa as Ambulance Emergency Assistant (AEA). Grade 4: Minimum of 3 years experience after registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa as Emergency Care Technician (ECT). Grade 5: Minimum of 3 years experience after registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa as Paramedic. Grade 6: Minimum of 3 years experience after registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa as Emergency Care Practitioner (ECP). |

Grade 3: Successful completion of the Intermediate Life Support (ILS) that allows registration with the HPCSA as Ambulance Emergency Assistant (AEA). Grade 4: Successful completion of the Emergency Care Technician (ECT) that allows registration with the HPCSA as Emergency Care Technician (ECT). Grade 5: Successful completion of the Critical Care Assistant course (CCA) or National Diploma that allows registration with the HPCSA as Paramedic. Grade 6: Successful completion of the B-Tech Degree that allows registration with the HPCSA as Emergency Care Practitioner (ECP). |

Remuneration:
|
Grade 3: R 265 995 - R 299 658 per annum, Grade 4: R 318 042 - R 360 258 per annum, Grade 5: R 386 358 - R 441 768 per annum, Grade 6: R 475 905 - R 544 143 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
