Requirements:

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE - The Stope Serviceperson is responsible to work in the operational stopes and development ends to maintain machinery and equipment for production.
WORK OF ROLE - Accompany and support Engineering Foreman/Artisan when inspecting work - Assisting during breakdowns or emergencies - Compiling safety, injury, risk and incident reports - Comply with operational risk management programme - (A1 Safety) - Ensure that all required tools, material and spares are available to perform tasks - Perform basic fault-finding activities on defective units and maintenance actions - Perform dismantling, repair, re-assembly and installation tasks - Perform necessary maintenance and repair work on equipment - Promote safety awareness by reminding team members to follow work procedures and identifying unsafe work practices - Receive and follow instructions from Engineering Foreman/Artisan - Report any malfunctioning to Engineering Foreman/Artisan - Comply with maintenance/Breakdown schedules - Request equipment and stock requisitions required
QUALIFICATIONS • Grade 12 • Stope Serviceman (UG Hard Rock) Certificate
EXPERIENCE Minimum of 18 months previous experience as Engineering Repairperson Multi Discipline
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS • Communications in English • Multi-disciplined engineering knowledge • Complete Engineering Repairperson Discipline Specific training
