Requirements:
|
1. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
This role has a 2.9.2 appointment in terms of the MHSA, Act of 1996: maintain, install and commission engineering components of the machinery and equipment to an agreed standard in the area of responsibility.
2. WORK OF ROLE
- Applying appropriate tools to complete tasks
- Attend to breakdowns and emergencies as required
- Conducts and participate in risk assessments
- Maintains a high quality of work
- Performing work to the required standards and specifications
- Records results of all legal examinations in the appropriate format
- To manage and guide winder maintenance personnel during maintenance
- Repairs to ensure winder is maintained according to legal requirements
3. QUALIFICATIONS
• Grade 12
• Fitter Trade Certificate
4. EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the mining environment
5. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
• English literate (speak, read and write)
• Must be able to do standby and overtime
• Must be familiar with risk assessments procedures
• Valid driving license code 08
• Basic computer skills
