Requirements:
|
1. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Engineering Assistant provides a pool of support of multi discipline engineering, technical skills and is required to support all the Engineering Artisan to whom the individual is allocated to perform low complexity high volume work.
2. WORK OF ROLE
- Assist in critical areas of operation as required
- Constantly examines and responds to environmental conditions
- Effective maintenance and repair of equipment and machinery
- Effective refurbishment of reclaimed equipment and machinery
- Ensures operational activities and product at “Zero Tolerance” compliance
- Good housekeeping
- Loading and dispatching of material and equipment to work sites
- Material machinery and equipment control
- Operational effectiveness of Engineering Department
3. QUALIFICATIONS
• Grade 12 Maths and Science
• Engineering Assistant Phase 2 Training Certificate
4. EXPERIENCE
Minimum 6 month’s relevant experience in engineering
5. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
• Advantageous semi-skilled with various certificate skills engineering
• Communication in english
