Requirements:
|
1. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
This Production Manager holds the legal 3.1a position in terms of the MHSA and is therefore overall responsible to all stakeholders to ensure the safe and profitable management of the production area.
2. WORK OF ROLE
• Provides visible felt leadership in safety, sustainable development, and Siyanda Bakgatla Platinum Mine values
• Manages mining operations safely, efficiently and cost effectively to meet short term and long-term production objectives
• Creates, develops, mentors, and motivates effective management, operational, maintenance and technical teams
• Ensures correct resources are available to deliver business targets (e.g., product quality and volume)
• Ensures compliance with all legal, environmental, occupational health and safety and risk management standards and leading practices
• Establishes and maintains strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Accountable for continuous improvement and asset optimisation initiatives for mining processes
3. QUALIFICATIONS
• Grade 12
• Mining Degree/ Diploma and/or Mine Managers Certificate of Competence
• Blasting Certificate
4. EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 10 years mining experience at metalliferous mines
5. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
• Computer literate
• Financial qualification through MDP or similar
• Mine Health and Safety Act knowledge
