Requirements:
|
1. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Supply Chain Senior Administrator Contracts is responsible for providing a supporting function to the commodity teams.
2. WORK OF ROLE
• Creating of tender enquiries
• Arranging of site meetings
• Liaison with internal requestors for suppliers to ensure optimum specifications / description
• Liaising with end users on their specific requirements
• Liase with vendors regarding specifications and performance
• Assisting team in the tender opening procedure and ensuring due process is followed
• Ensure materials meet minimum safety and technical standards
• Advises commodity learns of suitable items of acceptable quality at the most effective prices
• Check specials for contract items against existing contracts
• Act as enabler for team in terms of their ability to utilize the system
• Accurately input buying information into systems
• Assist end users with on-site queries
3. QUALIFICATIONS
• Grade 12
• National Diploma in Purchasing / Finance / Commerce
• Bachelor’s Degree in Purchasing / Finance / Commerce - Advantageous
4. EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 6 – 12 months buying / contracts experience in the mining industry
5. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
• Computer literacy
• Debtors and creditor control
• Customer orientation and interactive skills
• Good communication skills
