Requirements:
|
1. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Electrician maintains, install and commission the electrical components of the machinery and equipment to an agreed standard in the area of responsibility.
2. WORK OF ROLE
Applying appropriate tools to complete tasks
Attend to breakdowns and emergencies as required
Completing job cards and description of work and spares used (PM’s)
Conducts and participate in risk assessments
Ensure that material, spares, and equipment are available as required
Exercise judgment with regards to replacement of components
Maintains a high quality of work
Records results of all legal examinations in the appropriate format
3. QUALIFICATIONS
• Grade 12
• Electrician Trade Certificate
• Medium Voltage Certificate
4. EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an Electrician in the mining environment
5. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
• English literate (speak, read, and write)
• Must be able to work shifts, do standby and overtime
• Must be familiar with risk assessments procedures
• Valid driving license
• Basic computer skills
