Requirements:
|
1. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Winding Engine Driver is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the shaft winder for the haulage of ore, persons, and materials during a shift.
2. WORK OF ROLE
Adhering to all safety, emergency and first aid procedures
Advising defects and abnormalities
Assist during breakdowns or emergencies
Compiling accurate shift reports
Co-ordinate winding activities with total process requirements
Ensuring safe and reliable workmanship
Help engineering employees to maintain equipment in the winder area
Interacting with other teams and systems
Maintaining own safe and productive workplace
Performing ore pulling operations from relevant levels
Responding to standard hauling signals
Safe and effective operation of the winder during a shift, within the framework of the act and identifying electrical and/or mechanical faults
3. QUALIFICATIONS
• Grade 12
• Winding Engine Driver Certificate
4. EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 3 years’ experience as Winding Engine Driver
5. KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS
• WED special medical examination (Red Ticket)
