1. Work Output Description
- RBPlat provides a Bursary Programme opportunity to individuals to pursue a full-time undergraduate qualification at a recognised Tertiary Institution. Postgraduate studies may be funded it it’s a minimum requirement for employment in a chosen discipline. Bursars will be required to maintain an acceptable level of academic performance, and achieve the required criteria for continuation of the bursary. Applications for all disciplines are welcome, however, strict selection criteria will be applied when reviewing applications, and preference will be given to individuals studying towards Core Mining disciplines. Academic performance will also be a deciding factor.
2. Minimum Requirements
- Citizens of the Republic of South Africa
- Proof of Residence
- Matriculants Final Grade 11 Results or Term 2 Grade 12 Results
- Tertiary Acceptance Letter
- Current Tertiary Students A Full Academic Record for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Year Students
-For Core Mining Disciplines (Mining Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, Mine Survey and Geology) a Minimum of 60% for Mathematics (NOT Mathematics Literacy), Physical Science, and English is Required
- For Finance and Supply Chain A Minimum of 60% for Mathematics and English is Required

-Mine Survey
-Geology
